Mr. Klimkin discussed social trends triggered by the COVID-19, spoke about the most memorable negotiations, and gave his professional tips as to effective negotiation techniques.

Here are his top 7 winning techniques:

1 – Always do your homework;

2 – Step into other persons' shoes. Understand the other party needs, goals and motivation;

3 - Read your counterparty’s, grasp his mentality;

4 – Apply negotiation techniques;

5 – Do not let others keep you off balance. Experienced negotiators will try to do so to get better conditions;

6 – Never negotiate alone if you don’t know your potential counterparts. Never do alone;

7 – Negotiate offline. Zoom and other services do not convey emotional elements well enough that’s why do not work for complicated negotiations.
