The organizers of the conference

As of November 2022, Europe recorded over 7.8 million Ukrainian refugees, with 4.7 million under Temporary Protection. About 90% of these refugees are women and children. A UN report highlights the severe impact of the Ukraine war on women and girls globally, exacerbated by the multifaceted nature of the crisis. Ukrainian women, now often household heads, must adapt to new environments and entrepreneurial cultures. Host nations and the international community should provide best possible integration support, emphasizing education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

IEDC and MIM Business School are conducting research to build an evidence base for gender-responsive policy, and other non-governmental support mechanisms, as well as to monitor gender-related impacts of the crisis on women and their dependent families.
</blockquote>
The ReinforceUA conference will bringing together experts, decision makers and displaced Ukrainian women to engage in a productive dialogue on challenges displaced women are facing when it comes to Employment and Entrepreneurship. We will also highlight Existing good practices and discuss other opportunities for improvement.
