Second lecture of the new season of the ReinforceUA Educational Project*

The lecture turns to another side of innovation: where the ideas that later become products and companies actually come from.
The lecture will be valuable for: Ukrainian companies looking for new sources of growth, the topic is highly practical. More and more firms see researchers, technology teams and universities as partners, and this lecture offers a researcher’s view of how that path works across different countries. The lecture will be delivered by Valentina Tartari, the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Professor of Innovative and Sustainable Business Development at the Department of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology (House of Innovation), Stockholm School of Economics, and Director of the Jacob and Marcus Wallenberg Center for Innovative and Sustainable Business Development. She is also affiliated with the Department of Strategy and Innovation at Copenhagen Business School. She holds a PhD in Management of Innovation from Imperial College London (2013), as well as BSc and MSc degrees in Economics from Bocconi University (both cum laude). Her research examines how academic researchers produce scientific knowledge and how this knowledge reaches industry and society, as well as the role universities play in stimulating local entrepreneurship. Her work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Research Policy, and the Journal of Management Studies.
ReinforceUA is a MIM Business School project created to provide intellectual support to the Ukrainian business community. Since 2022, more than 40 world-renowned management thinkers have spoken as part of the project, including Yuval Noah Harari, Amy Edmondson, Alex Osterwalder, Roger Martin, and Hermann Simon. On average, up to 40,000 people watch each lecture live or in recording.
This season, the project is being delivered together with the Academy of Management (AOM), the world’s largest professional association of management researchers and educators. Founded in 1936, AOM brings together about 20,000 members from more than 120 countries and publishes the Academy of Management Journal and the Academy of Management Review. The online lectures will take place every two weeks from October through December 2026.
