The ReinforceUA project resumes work in the format of a lecture hall. We kick off the new season on November 8 with Marina Gorbis, Executive Director of the Institute for the Future (IFTF), a non-profit research and consulting organization with a 50-year history in Silicon Valley.
Gorbis' areas of interest and expertise include philanthropy, public policy, equitable value systems, and social justice. She opposes Guy Standing on the idea of an unconditional basic income, suggesting instead the introduction of unconditional basic assets. In her opinion, direct or indirect participation in capital will help overcome the poverty trap. That is why Marina Gorbis formulated the concept of universal basic assets (UBA) as a basis for thinking about what they can be and what role they play in economic security.
Marina Gorbis' current research focuses on transformations in the world of work and new forms of value creation. She launched the Workable Futures Initiative at IFTF to better understand new work models.
In her book "The Nature of the Future: Messages from a Socially Structured World", Marina Gorbis explores the listed topics and points to the connection between changes in the technological infrastructure and the organizational landscape - from education to management and health care. She frequently writes and speaks on future organizational, technological and social issues. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
