On October 16, the MIM Business School was transformed into a genuine jazz club for one evening - complete with music, uniquely atmospheric lighting, genuine emotion, and an atmosphere of creative freedom.
The event was prepared for the community with great care and inspiration, as the goal was to give the audience not just a concert, but a vivid sense of the unity of melody, energy, and inspiration. The musical magic of the evening was provided by the vibrant quartet of young musicians, the Sunnyside Quintet, who treated guests to a true delight of jazz improvisations. The concert was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy quality music on a cool autumn evening, recharge with energy, and feel the strength of support from the MIM community and friends.
Guests were welcomed by Iryna Tykhomyrova, President of the MIM Business School:

“We live in uncertain times, when it is crucial to keep up the pace and, above all, to trust one another and find harmony even in the midst of chaos. It is precisely now, under these conditions, that a new culture of Ukrainian management is emerging - one that is vibrant, flexible, bold, and inspired. That is why, in our opinion, the melody of the new Ukrainian management is definitely not a march or a symphony. It is jazz, where there is a leader, freedom, structure, and life between the notes. And today we invite you to feel this rhythm, be inspired by it, and perhaps find your own melody. And one more important note about this evening: all proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the Ukrainian military. Our jazz today is not just about inspiration, but about strength, solidarity, and gratitude to those who make it possible for us to sound free.”

During the evening, guests enjoyed not only brilliant performances but also the stories behind each piece. The musicians talked about how the compositions came to be, showing how people’s lives intertwine and how music serves as inspiration for companies, teams, and brands. The audience gave a particularly warm reception to the Ukrainian jazz motifs, and the finale, “Hutsulka Ksenia,” was performed as an encore - to thunderous applause and even dancing.
Vadym Savelyev, the event’s conceptual organizer and a lecturer at the MIM Business School, said:

“We decided to organize this event, which is unusual for a business school, because we believe that jazz and business share common traits. The art of improvisation, team harmony, and a sense of the moment are important for both jazz musicians and entrepreneurs. Plus, jazz is a burst of positive energy, which we all need so much right now.” 
</blockquote>
The “MIM. Jazz. Inspiration” evening was not only a celebration of music but also a reminder that the MIM business community is a force of unity, inspired not only by business but also by cultural events, mutual support, and shared values.
