Collaborative research among Ukrainian scientists is driving innovations with the potential to reshape industry standards. A team led by MIM Business School Professor and Doctor of Technical Sciences Vitaliy Tsopa, together with Professor Serhiy Cheberyachko of Dnipro Polytechnic University, has been granted a patent for a joint development: the "Hardware-Software Complex for Professional Risk Assessment."
The patent is the result of collaboration between two strong research institutions: MIM-Kyiv in the field of management systems, and Dnipro Polytechnic in technical systems. The developed complex automates the calculation of occupational risks directly on the production floor, in real time. It consists of four modules covering the full cycle - from primary data collection through to in-depth analysis and visualization of results.
What makes it unique is the combination of management and technical expertise, which allows the system to account for hazardous factors that typically go undetected:
<ul>
<li>Human factors: analysis of employee health status and the likelihood of human error.</li>
<li>Technical factors: accounting for the smallest nuances in equipment operation.</li>
<li>Synergy of hazardous factors: forecasting critical outcomes when multiple risk factors occur simultaneously.</li>
</ul>
 
Vitaliy Tsopa commented:

"Implementing this system will allow to significantly expand the analytical capabilities available to organizations in their operational work. It minimizes uncertainty in risk assessment and gives managers a precise tool for decision-making and for putting preventive and protective measures in place." 
</blockquote>
This inter-university collaboration is further proof that bringing together MIM Business School researchers and scientists from leading Ukrainian universities produces real, practical tools for improving business performance and effectiveness.
