“I Would Invest in Ukraine Now,” Says Garry Jacobs

News of the business school

11 teams of the current and future mayors presented and defended their towns’ strategic development projects within the Mayors School program. It is the second program and it lasted 6 months. The curriculum included academic part covering strategic development issues, international part with its extensive sharing of experiences between Ukrainian local authorities and their peers from Poland and development projects. Mr. Vadym Proshko, expert for the CoE Programme “Strengthening the Capacity of Local Authorities in Ukraine”, Mr. Ihor Leposhkin, leading expert for Partnership for Local Economic Development and Democratic Governance Project (PLEDDG), Mr. Vasyl Hroshovsky from Myckolaiv and Ms. Tetiana Boiko from Chernihiv, the graduates of the first intake of the Mayors’ School, and Mr. Ruslan Rohov, founder of the program set on the panel assessing the projects. 7 teams successfully defended their projects. Strategies for Mariupol, Vuhledar, Poltava and Uzhgorod were acknowledged the best. The graduation ceremony will be held on December 5 – 6 during the International Mayors’ Congress.
