Effective June 1, 2026, MIM Business School is undergoing planned management changes. Iryna Tykhomyrova, who has served as the school’s president and public face for 19 years, will head the International Advisory Board.
Under Iryna Tykhomyrova’s leadership, MIM has become not just the country’s first business school, but a powerful regional and educational hub. Even in 2022, amid full-scale invasion, the school not only continued its operations but also implemented a series of impactful initiatives. Among them were the global intellectual dialogue <a href="https://mim.kyiv.ua/en/graduates/projects/reinforceua" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ReinforceUA</a> and the international forum <a href="https://mim.kyiv.ua/en/graduates/projects/facing_the_future" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Facing The Future</a>, which brought together over 300 leading experts. The Reintegration Management Program was launched to train managers in de-occupied territories, along with the <a href="https://mim.kyiv.ua/en/graduates/projects/wlp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Women Leadership Program</a> – a program for future female leaders that has gained global recognition. This project has become a true social elevator, earning numerous international awards for its contribution to gender equality and the development of women’s entrepreneurship.
We thank Iryna Tykhomyrova for her inspiring leadership, resilience of the school in 2022, and her strategic vision. As Chair of the Advisory Board, she will continue to build the bridge between the academic world and the current needs of business.
The duties of MIM President will be assumed by Oleksii Vynogradov, who previously served as Vice President of the MIM Business School. Oleksiyiis a Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration, a recognized marketing expert, Director of Pre-MBA Programs, and author of numerous professional publications. His extensive experience with internships abroad and many years of managing large-scale projects will allow us to maintain a high level of momentum and implement innovations.
We continue to develop our system preparing new powerful programs and strategic solutions to help Ukrainian businesses grow effectively and sustainably.

Leadership Changes at MIM Business School

Natalia Nevyadomska, a graduate of the <a href="https://mim.kyiv.ua/en/graduates/projects/wlp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Women Leadership Program</a> 2025 and founder of the Très Français restaurant chain, has been honored with one of France’s oldest and most prestigious awards - the Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole. 
This Order was established back in 1883 on the initiative of Minister of Agriculture Jules Melin. In France, this honor is respectfully called the “green ribbon” as a symbol of a deep connection to the land, traditions, and culinary excellence. Today, the order is awarded for outstanding contributions to the development of the agricultural sector and the promotion of French products and food culture around the world. 
The award ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere at the French Embassy in Ukraine. While presenting the order, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine highlighted Ms. Natalia’s special role in building a “cultural bridge” between our countries. 
For a representative of the private sector, receiving such an award is an exceptional achievement, as it is usually bestowed upon government officials or scientists. Natalia Nevyadomska has become a shining example of how gastronomy and business ethics can be used to strengthen diplomatic ties.
Natalia Nevyadomska shared her thoughts:

It’s about a love for French cuisine, respect for the product, and respect for people. Today, gastronomy has become a source of inspiration and emotional support for our customers, and I see this as my mission. At the same time, it is the story of Très Français’ 15-year journey and the result of our incredible team’s work.”

New formats and deep conversations: a week of events at MIM

On April 17, the MIM Business School partnered with a landmark event in the renewable energy sector - The 100 gREen AWARD-2025 ceremony. We are proud to have the opportunity to join an initiative that supports projects already shaping a new, energy-independent, and environmentally friendly reality for Ukraine. 
The MIM conference hall brought together representatives of the government, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, and Ukrainian business leaders. The ceremony was not merely an awards event but a platform for like-minded individuals to connect - people who believe in the potential of decentralized “green” energy and are working toward a sustainable future for the country. 
The event was opened by Oleksandr Dombrovskyi, Chairman of the Board of Global 100 RE Ukraine. He emphasized that the 18 winning teams are not just successful business cases, but the foundation of our resilience. These are projects that form the framework of Ukraine’s energy independence and make us a full-fledged part of the global energy transition. According to Mr. Dombrovsky, the results of the awards prove that Ukraine’s goal of becoming a leader in Europe’s energy transformation is entirely realistic. 
Iryna Tykhomirova, President of the MIM Business School, delivered a welcoming address:

“Today we have gathered not just to recognize the best projects. We have come to see the future that is being shaped right now. For the MIM Business School, this is a special moment, because modern business education has long been about more than just profits. It’s about responsibility and decisions that transform society. Green energy is a prime example of how business can become part of the solution, not the problem. It is precisely such initiatives that shape a new type of leadership: strategic, forward-thinking, and driven by values. Every project here is not just about technology; it is, above all, about a different way of thinking and the courage to act despite the circumstances. In fact, this is exactly what we teach at MIM. Thank you for not just waiting for the future, but for creating it with your own hands!”

According to the decision of the expert council, the first 18 “Green Oscars” were awarded to projects that are impressive in scale: from energy-independent hospitals in Kalush to the first wind farm in Zakarpattia. 
Key categories include: 
• Municipal projects: leaders of transformation—the communities of Nizhyn and Khmelnytskyi.  • Energy resilience: ensuring the self-sufficiency of hospitals and kindergartens.  • Innovative R&amp;D solutions: cutting-edge developments in hydrogen and biomethane. • Education and workforce: projects training specialists for the energy transition.

Ruslana, a global ambassador for renewable energy, added a special spark to the evening. Her speech reminded us that the green transition is not just about numbers, but also about the values we are building for future generations. 
MIM Business School is grateful to all partners, communities, and teams. This event proved once again that when business education, the public sector, and innovators work in synergy, the results are tangible for everyone. Energy independence is a challenge that we can only overcome together.

On choosing MIM. Early 2022 was complete chaos. I had to restructure my business and shift to a different direction entirely. Around that time, I subscribed to MIM Business School's mailing list and was struck by what I saw: they were hosting live online sessions with the global names whose books I had been reading - Osterwalder, Kotler, Snyder. Not recordings, but live conversations where you could ask questions. That was my first strong impression.
What ultimately convinced me to enroll was Markstrat. It is a computer simulation that has had millions of dollars invested in it. When I realized that leading business schools like INSEAD and Harvard use it, I understood: this is a top-tier tool, and this is where I need to be.
On studying. It is the chance to structure your knowledge. Did I discover something entirely new? Probably not. But I got a clear structure. When you listen to a lecturer or talk with peers, insights you already had suddenly click into place: "Oh, I can actually implement this in my business. Oh, this is something I should offer a client"! A separate achievement was the final project. I wrote a marketing plan for the mining industry on LinkedIn - not something produced just to tick a box, but work that reflects what I do every day, now backed by MIM's expert guidance and tested hypotheses. I developed it step by step, on my own, and that approach is what structures knowledge best.
On the faculty. In Natalia Bukhalova's lectures I absorbed every word. I still use her presentation as a reference. She gave me a genuinely practical insight into overseas marketing research - how to analyze the US market even when you are based in Ukraine. Pure applied knowledge.
On community as the core value. The lasting impression MIM leaves is the community. People who get it in a space where that is shared. Eighty percent of our behavior is shaped by our environment, and it matters to me to be around people with similar values and ambitious goals. MIM consistently organizes events where the most productive networking happens - connections that form in an intimate setting where you can actually get to know someone, have a real conversation, and find your way to shared projects.
Serhiy's advice. Do not be afraid to focus. When a business is small, it seems like you can do everything for everyone. But Markstrat taught me: every product needs to be precise, niche, and built for a specific audience. The better you understand your client, the higher the loyalty and the margin.

For the <a href="https://mim.kyiv.ua/graduates/projects/manage_the_future" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Manage the Future</a> Charitable Foundation, an Easter visit to the border guards' hospital has become a cherished annual tradition. It is not simply about bringing gifts - it is a gesture of gratitude, warmth, and respect that helps heal not only the body but the spirit, bringing a piece of the holiday into hospital walls.
This year, however, the visit was particularly special: MIM Business School students joined the foundation's Easter mission, some of them bringing their families along.
Tetiana Shylan, Director of the "Manage the Future" Foundation, shared her impressions:

"This year our mission became truly shared. The MIM community took part both in packing the gifts and in personally greeting our defenders. The visit was extraordinarily warm and moving. Once again we saw that when a business community comes together for something that matters, the energy and impact are immense."

Thanks to the involvement of the MIM community, the visit delivered not only holiday packages but the most valuable thing of all - genuine personal attention and heartfelt conversation.
We thank the Central Clinical Hospital of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for their long-standing partnership and for making these visits possible.

Easter at the Hospital: "Manage the Future" Foundation and the MIM Community Visit Border Guard Defenders

MIM Business School has launched a new cycle of Book Club meetings focused on finding answers to the most pressing management challenges of today. The season opened with a discussion featuring Ukrainian practitioner-authors whose expertise has been tested by the realities of our market. Two business survival strategies took center stage: system versus chaos.
The speakers were:

<li>Alona Lubchak - management consultant and efficiency expert, whose book “Management Without Fuss” has become something of a manifesto for those looking to pull out of the operational nosedive and make room for strategy</li>
<li>Oleksii Prosnytskyi - senior manager and co-founder of LEO Consulting, whose book “How Not to Screw Up a Project” breaks down the typical traps that keep ambitious ideas from ever reaching execution.</li>
</ul>
Opening the session, MIM Business School President and event moderator Iryna Tykhomyrova said:

"We have set ourselves an ambitious goal: to find, together with you, answers to the difficult questions facing managers today. At first glance, the two authors seem to be standing on completely opposite sides. But system and chaos are not opposites. When combined correctly, they produce what Ichak Adizes calls 'symbergy' - a blend of symbiosis and synergy. All management theory can be described by that one word. System and chaos must exist in synergy, each complementing the other."

Together with the speakers, attendees explored why strategic goals so often get lost on the way to the workplace - and how to shift from a culture of constant firefighting to a culture of systemic results.
We sincerely thank everyone who came to the first session. Despite air raid alerts, rain, and power outages, you arrived in great spirits and ready to engage. We worked through many cases and difficult situations - and did it all professionally.

Navigating the Urban Battlefield: The Resilience of Women Amid Wartime Challenges

Anders Indset, the founder of the "quantum economy" concept, visited Kyiv at the invitation of MIM Business School and spoke at the Facing the Future forum. He had previously met with the Ukrainian audience virtually as part of the ReinforceUa project, so he gladly accepted the offer to visit the capital of Ukraine and speak at an educational forum dedicated to the future. We are publishing the highlights of his speech.
 In the sacred space of silence at the Facing the Future forum in Kyiv, I found myself contemplating the heartbeat of the world's ethos. Humanity stands at the crossroads of an existential crisis, grappling with artificial intelligence, poverty, and the looming specter of climate change. Yet, beneath the surface complexities lies a fundamental question: shall our world descend into dystopia and destruction, or shall it ascend into a realm of life and a flourishing future? The resonance of Ukraine's choice echoes the latter.
 Venturing into the heart of Kyiv for the first time, I am struck by the profound narrative woven into this city's fabric. The essence of our collective challenge is encapsulated in the imperative to rebuild, restore, and circumvent the scars of war. The power to shape the future rests in the hands of those who tread upon this soil. In this context, the economy is not a mere abstraction; it is an operating system.
Consider healthcare—a sphere poised for transformation. The path forward demands decentralization, a localization mirrored in the trajectory of digitalization. The blueprint is simple: leverage technology, build upon it. In a world where the value of education has seemingly dwindled to zero, a pressing need emerges for more than just educators; we require better educators. Our metamorphosis pivots from the pursuit of absolute knowledge to fostering a society driven by understanding—an understanding that progress is our only true path forward.
 The contours of the emerging economy must be imbued with social and environmental dimensions. In this new epoch, conversations about business models should transcend profit-centric paradigms. Ukraine's ambitious goal of sourcing 80% of its energy from renewables by 2050 heralds a shift where sustainability gives way to efficiency over the next decade.
Ecology, as a social dimension, intertwines with the fabric of the economy, ushering in a new paradigm—a fresh art of doing business. This is the quantum economy, a synthesis where the social market thrives on efficiency rather than mere financial gain. It is a delicate dance between the local and the global.
While skepticism shadows the notion of capitalism, a call for humane capitalism reverberates. Even the Dalai Lama acknowledges capitalism as a functional model, contingent upon compassion and empathy. Can this ethos resonate in Ukraine? Can the nation carve out a leadership role, crafting a declaration of interdependence that transcends the individual for the sake of the collective—a communal economy?
Kyiv, the heartbeat of the world, beckons us to initiate change. It is a story waiting to be told, etched into the minds of all who encounter it. The belief in a future where the inherent inequality among people is dissolved becomes the cornerstone of constructing a society that genuinely cares for its many fragments.
Ukraine's destiny lies not just as a member of the EU but as a torchbearer illuminating the path forward. Trust in oneself becomes the linchpin. Trust, when extended beyond personal boundaries, enables the collective construction of something remarkable.
 History need not be a cyclical repetition; it is not a mere recollection of the past but a guide on how to think. We are evolving into seekers of real truths, advocates for progress. As I disembarked the train in Kyiv, the laughter of a little girl echoed through the air, a symbol of boundless hope hurtling into the future. Her innocent joy invoked reflections on her father, a guardian fighting for a shared destiny—for my future, my daughter's, and my grandchildren's.
