1 &ndash; Always do your homework;
2 &ndash; Step into other persons' shoes. Understand the other party needs, goals and motivation;
3 - Read your counterparty&rsquo;s, grasp his mentality;
4 &ndash; Apply negotiation techniques;
5 &ndash; Do not let others keep you off balance. Experienced negotiators will try to do so to get better conditions;
6 &ndash; Never negotiate alone if you don&rsquo;t know your potential counterparts. Never do alone;
7 &ndash; Negotiate offline. Zoom and other services do not convey emotional elements well enough that&rsquo;s why do not work for complicated negotiations.&nbsp;

Klimkin also recommended the book Never Split the Difference: Negotiating as if Your Life Depended on It by Chris Voss and Tahl Raz.
