Tetiana Kovalchuk - pre-MBA Finance alumna (2021) currently enrolled in pre-MBA Leadership program, Head of Treasury at Louis Dreyfus, and business owner - shares why business education is the fastest-returning investment she has made, how Management Game teaches you to take risks, and why she keeps choosing MIM.
On MIM as a "place of strength" and what it means emotionally. I continue to combine employment and my own business, and plan to keep doing both. My relationship with MIM Business School is a deeply emotional one. I love coming here. During the autumn strikes, I found myself drawn to MIM like a magnet. There is an atmosphere here that makes you want to come back again and again.
On Management Game and the adrenaline, it brings. It is one of the best professional experiences of my life. We worked in teams, making decisions for virtual business - sometimes staying online until one in the morning. Those emotionally charged discussions and the drive they create give you an incredible understanding of how real business works and how to take on risk properly, setting aside unnecessary emotion.
On systemic thinking versus credentials. Business education is not about a certificate or a quick promotion. It is about broad, strategic thinking. In the age of artificial intelligence, systemic thinking is becoming the leader's most important tool. When I opened my own business, that was when I truly felt how marketing works and how every individual decision affects the growth of the whole company.
On choosing MIM. I see the heads of major banks and senior managers we work with - and they all studied here. When I was choosing my second program - Leadership this time - I did not even consider other options. I know for certain I will get the tools that work in real life here.
On business etiquette and the culture of interaction. The deeper I go into the topic of business etiquette, the more I realize it is far more than formalities. It is about the level of thinking, respect, and the culture of how people interact. Etiquette becomes a marker of professionalism - both personal and of the environment you work in. The combination of business education and professional conduct creates the kind of integrity that determines the quality of partnerships and long-term results.
One more thing worth adding: Tetiana is currently bringing a new project to life connected to business etiquette. Stay tuned - there is more to come.
