The MIM Business School hosted an open workshop titled “Crisis-Proof Hiring 2026: How to Fill Vacancies in a Tight Labor Market,” led by Tetiana Dotsia, a graduate of the SE MBA program and founder <a href="https://www.svidomi.com.ua/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">of the management consulting agency “SVIDOMI.”</a>
The session focused on the topic of finding and attracting specialists amid today’s challenging conditions - war, labor migration, and staffing crisis. Tetyana shared practical tools that help companies build a systematic hiring process even when it seems there are simply no candidates available.
During the workshop, participants explored how to create an effective job posting, where to publish job openings, how to promote the company to candidates, and how to identify “red flags” during interviews. The speaker devoted special attention to topics such as mental health support, working with veterans, and developing emotional intelligence in leaders. She also explained how to spot a “professional scammer” early on, whether it’s worth “poaching” employees and what risks or benefits this entails, and how artificial intelligence is already helping recruiters in their work.

<li>Prioritize mental health and teach employees emotional hygiene.</li>
<li>Sell the job not just on salary, but on the opportunities, it offers the candidate. It’s not enough to simply “find” someone - you need to “win them over.”</li>
<li>Don’t forget about security - it’s important to screen candidates to protect your team and business.</li>
<li>Remember: onboarding is the key to employee retention. Training, support, feedback, and mentoring work wonders.</li>
<li>Don’t be afraid to hire veterans: give a veteran a helping hand - and they’ll become your support.</li>
</ul>
