The guest on the SE MBA program was Mykola Skavronskyi, Deputy CEO of the medical laboratory “Sinevo Ukraine” and an MBA graduate of the MIM Business School.
Over the course of more than 20 years, he has taken the company from a startup to a leading national company with a billion-dollar turnover - all without formal medical education.
Today, Sinevo holds about 25% of the private market for laboratory testing and is the only medical company in Ukraine to have gone through an IPO.

“Not the first lab on the market, but the one that created the market” - that’s how Mykola Skavronsky positions his company. 
</blockquote>
It all began, as is often the case, with a personal experience. After a botched blood draw, he decided, “This isn’t how it should be. This market has potential and opportunities” - and set out to change the approach to this market.
At first, “Sinevo” operated as a “lab-less lab” - just collection sites and partnerships with contractors. Later, a foreign investor came on board, a rebranding took place, the company expanded, and a philosophy was born: the patient is the customer.
Mykola Skavronsky openly shared stories of success and “failures,” explaining how the team tackled key challenges systematically and step by step:

<li>Speed of service. We took cues from McDonald’s - we even invited people from there to join us.</li>
<li>Clarity. For the first time in our communications, we started using the simple and familiar word “tests.”</li>
<li>Openness. Trust instead of fear: we held tours, educational events, and created our own space in career fairs.</li>
<li>Accessibility. We invested in the network even when it seemed risky.</li>
</ul>
 
Mykola also shared a few tips from his own experience:
<ul>
<li>If the word “quality” appears in an ad, it means the marketers know nothing about their product.</li>
<li>Learn from the best - not just in your own industry.</li>
<li>Be clear, not arrogant: the customer should immediately understand what you do.</li>
<li>Be accommodating: reduce service time, value people’s time.</li>
</ul>
