The great strength of women is that we are able to unite, share inspiration with each other, and motivate others with our stories on the path to leadership, says Nadiia Omelchenko, a lecturer and graduate of the MBA program at MIM Business School.

Fourteen years later, Cheryl's speech still rings true. “Believe in yourself and compete for yourself. Take credit for your own success,” the speaker said.

Her life credo is to be the first tile of a domino, which, when it falls, leads to a shift in the whole system. Her main advice is to express your thoughts, especially when they are necessary and have an impact on others. It is natural to be afraid of being the first, but fear should not dictate what you do. The second piece of advice is to support other women. “If we are not strong enough, we should unite with someone to have a greater impact. Support another woman at a meeting or just make sure that a person who finds it difficult to speak up is heard. Being yourself is a revolutionary act. And in a world that makes us whisper, I choose to shout.”
